Upon graduating junior high school, Daichi Hara entered the Junior Athlete Program at CSBA in 2012, started attending Whistler Secondary School in September of the following year, and graduated Whistler Secondary School in 2016. 
During his time of study, he trained with the Canadian BC Mogul team with Coach Jeff. 
After graduating from high school, he went back to Japan and entered the University of Japan. He is aiming to compete in the 2018 Pyongyang Olympics and to make the podium.
He had the goal of obtaining gold medal at the Pyongyang Olympics since he entered CSBA, and has gone through tough training with an unwavering mentality. 
This year, his story was taken up by Fuji Television's show Mirai Monster, which was aired in August.
His teachers from high school and the people of Whistler continue to cheer him on from Canada.

２０１２年　中学卒業と同時にＣＳＢＡのジュニアアスリートプログラムに入学し、翌年の２０１３年９月よりウィスラー高校に進学、２０１６年　６月にウィスラー高校を卒業した原大智さん。
在学中はカナダBCモーグルチームでジェフコーチの元でトレーニングを積んできました。
卒業後は日本に帰国し日本大学に進学。２０１８年平昌オリンピックで表彰台を狙っています。
入学当時から、平昌オリンピックでのゴールドメダルを目標に掲げるなど、ブレのないしっかりとしたメンタルでハードなトレーニングに取り組んできました。
そして、この８月にフジテレビで放映されたミライモンスターで取り上げられました。
現在ウィスラー高校の先生方、そしてウィスラーの地元の方々が遠くカナダから熱い声援を送っています。
原大智さん、素晴らしい滑りを楽しみにしています。
